Kamala Harris Leaves Door Open for 2028 White House Bid

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is sending a clear signal to Washington: her political ambitions may not be over. In a recent interview with the BBC, Harris said, “I am not done,” when asked if she might run for the White House again.

The 61-year-old Democrat reflected on a lifetime of public service, stating that serving the country “is in my bones.” Her comments come after her campaign for president in 2024 ended in defeat, yet she dismissed the poll numbers and speculations about her chances. “If I listened to polls… I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here,” she said.

When asked whether the next U.S. president could be a woman, and if that woman could be her, Harris responded: “In their lifetime for sure,” and “possibly,” to a question about her own prospects.

Her decision to not pursue the gubernatorial race in California earlier this year helped clear the path for what many view as a possible 2028 White House run.

Harris has been busy promoting her memoir, 107 Days, which chronicles her 2024 campaign. While she hasn’t formally declared a 2028 bid, her remarks have reignited discussions about the future of the Democratic Party and what her next move might be.

No announcement has been made yet, but one thing is clear: Kamala Harris is making it known she’s far from done with the public stage.
