Jane Seymour declares “70 is the new 50” after finding love again following four marriages

Actress Jane Seymour, 74, is celebrating a newfound love and a renewed sense of joy — and she’s making a bold declaration: “70 is the new 50.”

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Seymour opened up about her relationship with John Zambetti, a 76-year-old emergency room doctor and musician. The two met about two years ago through their children, and Seymour described him as “amazingly brilliant.”

Seymour said she never expected to find such a committed and loving partnership at this stage of her life, especially after experiencing four previous marriages.

Reflecting on their timing, she noted:

“You’ve had a life. Many lives. And children, and grandchildren, and careers, and ups and downs. … I consider both of us so fortunate to have found each other at the time we have, because it wouldn’t have ever worked earlier.”

When asked about how they met, Seymour dismissed the idea of online dating, joking that she could “kill a computer just by looking at it.” Instead, she said their children played a big role in bringing them together.

On intimacy, she was refreshingly candid, saying that having matured gives her a clearer understanding of her body and what feels good:

“With maturity, you understand your body, you understand what feels good … put it down to that.”

Seymour’s story is a powerful reminder that love doesn’t have an age limit — and that life can surprise you when you least expect it.
