Erika Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA and widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, shared a deeply personal revelation in a recent interview: she prayed she was pregnant when her husband was fatally shot.
In an emotional exchange with Megyn Kelly, Erika said she and Charlie had hoped to have four children together. She admitted that at the moment of his death, she was praying God would be blessing them with another baby. She referred to the possibility as “the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe.”

Erika also used the occasion to urge young couples not to delay having children. Reflecting on how swiftly life can change, she said women especially shouldn’t postpone starting a family because “they grow so fast and so quickly.”
She emphasized that both she and Charlie were excited to expand their family, and this hope gave her a strange comfort in the face of overwhelming loss.
Since his death, Erika has stepped into her husband’s shoes at Turning Point USA, taking over leadership of the organization they built together.
