Christian ministry CEO Alexander Wurm, 43, and his daughter Alayna, 20, were identified as the victims of a deadly plane crash in Florida after their single-engine aircraft went down shortly after takeoff.
Authorities reported that the aircraft, a small personal plane, crashed near a roadway outside Ocala, leaving debris scattered across the area and prompting a swift response from local fire-rescue teams. Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

Wurm was the chief executive of a faith-based ministry known for outreach programs, community initiatives and international mission support. Friends and colleagues described him as a committed leader whose work impacted thousands. His daughter, Alayna, was remembered as kind-hearted, active in volunteer programs and deeply involved in her family’s ministry work.
Investigators say the plane began experiencing trouble moments after takeoff before losing altitude and crashing. The FAA and NTSB are conducting a full review to determine the precise cause, examining mechanical factors, flight conditions and maintenance history.

Family members, ministry associates and local church groups have expressed deep grief, calling the tragedy an immeasurable loss to both the organization and the community. Many highlighted the strong bond between father and daughter, often seen traveling together for ministry work and youth programs.
Memorial plans have not yet been announced, but supporters have already begun organizing gatherings and prayer events in honor of the two victims.
