A homeowner in Kendall, Florida, opened fire and killed one intruder after four men tried to break into his family’s house, according to reports. The confrontation began when the homeowner heard his mother shouting on the porch.
Worried for their safety, he grabbed his gun and went outside to confront the suspects. Despite his warnings, the intruders tried to push into the home — and he shot one of them twice. The other three fled the scene immediately.
Security camera footage reportedly captured gunshots and the chaos that followed. The man who was shot was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

The homeowner said he didn’t go out there intending to kill anyone — he only acted because he was afraid for both his life and his mother’s. He described the experience as traumatic and said he’d likely need therapy to cope with what happened.
