A viral sensation dubbed “Fedora Man” — the sharply‑dressed figure captured in a photograph standing outside the Louvre during a high‑profile jewel heist — has been revealed to be 15‑year‑old Pedro Elias Garzon Delvaux.
Delvaux, from Rambouillet west of Paris, says he and his family were simply visiting the Louvre Museum when the image was taken. He described how the photo unexpectedly went viral and how he decided to keep his identity quiet for a few days, allowing the mystery to build.

Wearing a fedora hat, vintage waistcoat and tie, Delvaux has a keen interest in classic detective characters like Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes — which helped shape the extravagant style captured in the photo.
While the image coincided with a major robbery at the museum, Delvaux emphasises his presence was purely coincidental and has no connection to the crime. He said he was unaware of the heist, and was simply asking officers why the museum was closed.

The story highlights how rapidly a single image can capture the world’s attention and become a cultural moment — especially when mystery, style and an iconic location collide.
